Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant position within the Corporate Services Division, National Land Agency.

CORPORATE PLANNING ANALYST

The successful candidate will report to the Senior Director, Corporate Services

Job Purpose

To assist in the development and coordination of an integrated Corporate/Business/Operational Plan to support corporate compliance functions by implementing mechanisms to ensure effective monitoring and evaluating of Corporate/Business and Operational Plans                                                                           

Key Responsibilities:

Technical/Professional Responsibilities

  • Assists in situational analysis and environmental scanning to inform strategy development.
  • Assists with monitoring the application of planning procedures and practices in all Divisions
  • Participates in the review, development and implementation of mechanisms to ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of the Corporate and Operational Plans
  • Assists in liaising with all divisions to assess progress of pre-determined objectives and targets and provides them with feedback
  • Assists with development of policies, objectives and procedures for the operation of the Agency
  • Assist in the development of definitions of performance indicators and outputs
  • Assists in producing the Agency’s Gap Analysis
  • Liaises with internal audit on compliance with standards and other substantive issues with a view to effect improvement/change
  • Assists with the preparation of  reports and analyses on the performance outcomes (standards and targets) of the Agency
  • Investigates current performance trends to identify recurrent issues relating to employee performance as directed
  • Establishes criteria for initiating investigations in organizational issues
  • Ensures that issues/cases are researched, documented and completed in accordance with departmental and compliance standards
  • Examines and analyses accounting records/other financial reports to assess accuracy, compliance to reporting and procedural standards
  • Analyses operations, trends and compliance data and provides decision support
  • Reviews, analyses and interpret new regulations in areas related to the Agency
  • Works with various departments to design and initiate team processes to improve  efficiencies
  • Analyses and reports information for long-range corporate forecasting
  • Researches, compiles and reports data regarding cost and potential profits in different Divisions of the Agency
  • Participates in the development and implementation of systems and procedures to guide the evaluation processes
  • Monitors  and evaluates corporate and operational plans and targets ensuring that they conform to key outputs and are linked to budgetary forecasts
  • Establishes evaluation schedules and guides divisional heads/units on the importance of the evaluation exercise
  • Assists in monitoring projects and implementation decisions taken in respect of the Agency’s policy and offers solutions for handling constraints and procedural bottlenecks
  • Conducts quarterly  and annual reviews and analysis of the performance of the Agency in relation to Corporate and Operational plans
  • Produces management reports from investigative data gathering on various issues impacting the Agency

Other Responsibilities

  • Attends various meetings with local and external agencies   regarding corporate and project management on behalf of the Agency
  • Performs other related duties assigned from time to time by the Director.

  • Working knowledge of relevant computer systems and software

Minimum Required Education and Experience

  • A first degree in Public Administration or equivalent
  • Specialized training in Strategic Planning and Project Management, Workflow analysis
  • Three (3) years experience with a proven track record in a similar or related position

Remuneration Package

 Salary Range: $1,605,312- $1,733,265 p.a.
